Chi-Cheemaun

Today we have cruised from Rugby to Coventry basin but we could not find a mooring and the basin was very tight for us to turn the boat.

So we have cruised back to Hawksbury village and the moorings at the conservation area .

Chi-Cheemaun cruise

This is a view of bridge 80 on the Oxford canal which is in need of repair ,should B.W issue hard hats for cruisng this area.We then called at Brinklow Marina for diesel this was 86p per litre .
This marina is a very tight turn with a 70 ft boat and is not good on a windy day.

Chi-Cheemaun cruise

This is a view of the visitor moorings at Rugby the good news is there is a Tesco close to the canal and B.W have cut back the willow trees so now you can see the moorings. We will stay over night and shop tomorrow before continuing towards Hawksbury Junction.

Yet another day

Chi-Cheemaun has continued its cruise from Rugby after a short stop at Clifton Cruisers for diesel and gas we made our way towards Braunston . We have moored for the night near the prison and hope the inmates are secure . Here we found the tv was not to good and the phone signal was not very good but atleast i could get the internet.
Tomorrow weather permitting we will continue to Braunston and do all my favorite chores and if its not raining continue up the locks towards Norton Junction.
